Terms & Conditions

By registering an account or placing a bet on Jabula Bets you agree to the rules below. Please read them in full before depositing. They govern everything from account creation to dispute resolution.

1. Who these terms apply to

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to every person (“Player”, “you”) who accesses the Jabula Bets website, mobile application or any related service operated by Jabula Bets (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”, “Jabula Bets”). Our registered address is in Sandton, Johannesburg, Republic of South Africa. We hold a licence issued by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board under the National Gambling Act 7 of 2004.

By creating an account, making a deposit or placing a bet, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service immediately.

2. Eligibility

To hold a Jabula Bets account you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be a resident of the Republic of South Africa and physically present in the country when placing bets.
  • Not be on any self-exclusion register maintained by a South African gambling authority.
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under South African law.

We verify age and identity through your South African ID number. Accounts that cannot be verified are suspended until full FICA documents are provided. Providing false information is grounds for immediate account closure and forfeiture of any balance.

3. Account rules

Each player may hold exactly one Jabula Bets account. Duplicate accounts — whether opened under the same ID, device, email address or payment method — will be merged or closed at our discretion, and any bonus winnings earned on the duplicate will be voided.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact support immediately and change your password. Jabula Bets is not liable for losses arising from you sharing your login details with a third party.

Account names are permanent and must match your legal ID. You may not transfer, sell or gift your account or its balance to another person.

4. Deposits and withdrawals

The minimum deposit is R10 and the minimum withdrawal is R50. Deposits are credited to your account balance instantly for card and EFT methods. Voucher-based deposits (OTT, Blu Voucher, 1Voucher) are credited on confirmation from the voucher network.

Withdrawals are processed to the same payment method used for deposits wherever possible. Processing times vary by method: Instant EFT withdrawals typically complete within two hours during business hours; card withdrawals may take one to three business days depending on your bank. There are no withdrawal fees charged by Jabula Bets, but your bank may apply its own charges.

Before processing a withdrawal above R5 000, or at any time we consider necessary under our AML obligations, we may request supporting documentation including a copy of your South African ID, proof of address dated within three months and a bank statement matching the withdrawal account.

5. Bonuses and promotions

Bonus offers are described on the Promotions page. All bonuses are subject to wagering requirements before withdrawal. Unless stated otherwise, the standard wagering requirement is 35x the bonus amount.

  • Bonus funds are separate from real-money funds. Real-money funds are used first in all bets.
  • Bonuses expire 30 days after activation unless the individual promotion states otherwise.
  • Betting with low-risk strategies (e.g. alternating sides, systematic arbitrage, using free bets on sure outcomes) to meet wagering requirements is considered abuse and results in forfeiture of the bonus and associated winnings.
  • Only one welcome bonus per player, household, device and payment method.

We reserve the right to amend, suspend or cancel any promotion with seven days’ notice posted on the Promotions page.

6. Fair play and game integrity

All slot and casino games use certified random number generators (RNG) from licensed software suppliers. Return-to-player (RTP) percentages are published in the individual game information panels. Sports markets are settled using official results from the relevant governing body (PSL, CSA, World Rugby, etc.).

We reserve the right to void any bet placed:

  • After the event has started, where the bet was accepted due to a technical delay.
  • On an obvious pricing error where the odds were materially incorrect.
  • As part of a coordinated scheme to exploit a system error or bonus loophole.

7. Responsible gambling

We provide deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders, cool-off periods and self-exclusion tools. Full details and activation steps are on our Responsible gambling page. Players who request self-exclusion will have their accounts locked and marketing stopped within one hour. We partner with the South African National Responsible Gambling Programme (NRGP, 0800 006 008).

8. Dispute resolution

If you believe a bet has been settled incorrectly, contact our support team within 30 days of the event. We will review the settlement against the official result and correct it if an error occurred. If you are unsatisfied with the outcome, you may escalate to the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board or the relevant provincial authority for your area. South African law governs these Terms and any disputes arising from them.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes — changes that materially affect your rights or obligations — are communicated via an in-account notice and email at least seven days before they take effect. Continued use of Jabula Bets after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

How will I know if the Terms change?

We post a notice inside your account and send an email to the address on file. Material changes come with at least seven days’ notice before they take effect.

What if a bet is settled incorrectly?

Contact support within 30 days of the event. We review the settlement against the official result and correct any errors. Escalation to the gambling authority is available if you are not satisfied with our response.

Can my account be closed by Jabula Bets?

Yes, in case of fraud, bonus abuse, multiple accounts or a legal restriction. We explain the reason and return any real-money funds (non-bonus balance) via the original payment method.

What is the wagering requirement on bonuses?

The standard is 35x the bonus amount. Individual promotions may differ — always check the specific promotion page on the Bonuses page for the exact requirement.

Can I use a VPN with my Jabula Bets account?

No. Using a VPN or proxy to mask your location is a breach of these Terms and may result in account suspension and forfeiture of funds. The service is for South African residents only.
